At Shanahans, our philosophy is quite simple but says a lot about who we are, what we do and why we do it - “The hands behind the wines.”
All we want is to share the story of the fruit, how the wine was produced and the land where it was grown in the beautiful Barossa. After all, great wines are made in the vineyard by the growers with their business partner Mother Nature.
“We source fruit from our own vineyards and a patchwork of growers, focused mainly around the North Western Barossa where I believe some of the best fruit grows; not only in the Barossa, but the world” - John Harris.
Every bottle of Shanahan’s Wines has its own unique and heartfelt story. For our owner and winemaker John Harris, telling this story is what he loves most.
The story of Shanahan's Wines itself began back in 2005, and was born out of John’s passion for wine, his deep family connection and an unsurpassed love and respect for life on the land.
